Bryan Melnick

Bryan Melnick teaches Social Studies at HSSIS. He comes to us from Connecticut where he began his career. He graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelors degree in World History.

After earning his BA, he received a Masters Degree in Education along with Connecticut and New York State teaching certification. Mr. Melnick continues his career exploring world cultures in and around the Lower East Side. His Social Studies classes follow the New York State Curriculum guidelines but he pays special attention to bringing technology into the classroom. Technology based learning is designed to create more student interest and build a foundation to become 21 st century learners.

For the coming school year (2005-06) Bryan will be teaching 7 th Grade Social Studies. The course will take us through an intense look at the ways the United States interacted with and help to form the International Political Economy over the last three centuries. Mr. Melnick is a wonderful resource to speak with about all aspects of life inside and out of the Henry Street School.
