My name is Annie Schmutz and I am the 9th grade English teacher at HSSIS. I grew up in the beautiful mountainous state of Utah and moved to New York City five years ago to be a teacher. In my class you will not just learn how to read the word, you will also learn how to read the WORLD. This is because reading books is just one step of many towards preparing for global citizenship. When I'm not teaching, I'm either reading or playing Guitar Hero with my boyfriend, Yahya.
