Henry Street School Recognized for their Leadership in Tsunami Response
As part of their tsunami response campaign, students from Henry Street School were special guests on the MTV show Total Request Live on February 3. This special broadcast on the tsunami featured 40 Coalition members wearing Quarters From Kids t-shirts. One of the members even introduced the #1 video for the day!

Henry Street students also took part in a Global Nomads Group videoconference with Sri Lankan youth and aid workers to learn first hand about the toll the disaster took on the small island nation and what types of ongoing support are needed to rebuild the region. The videoconference was webcasted nationwide.

Education Week featured a story on Quarters From Kids with an update of the Henry Street student's efforts and quotes from the middle school director Courtney Allison and high school director Hoa Tu. (To read the story you may have to complete a free registration process).
