Henry Street School had its first career day on Friday, April 23. Students were able to meet professionals from a wide range of careers. Read on!

MARCH 8, 2005
Henry Street was also selected to be an ambassador school to speak with youth from Sri Lanka, while other schools across the nation watched via videocon and webcast. Henry Street School students were also invited to speak with a journalist, who contributed to National Geographic's Killer Waves documentary, about her eyewitness account of the disaster.

MARCH 7, 2005
Henry Street School hosted the Asia Society board of trustees meeting. Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, Governor James B. Hunt, Jr., and Chancellor Joel Klein, among many other distinguished guests spoke with students about the importance of school and preparing for success in the 21st century.

FEBRUARY 18, 2005
Henry Street School is recognized by the media for our good work in supporting tsunami relief efforts. MTV's TRL invited Henry Street students into their studio to talk about our fundraising effort, Quarters from Kids. Education Week, the leading education industry publication, wrote a story about us. JANUARY 21, 2005
Students are working to assist with the relief effort by creating pillows for children who survived the tsunami and by raising funds in partnership with Quarters From Kids. More
