Ms. White Originally from the island of Jamaica, Ms. White is now fulfilling her lifelong dream as a Mathematics teacher. She successfully completed an AS degree in Business and Computer Programming and BS degrees in Computer Programming and Applied Mathematics at Farmingdale State University. She also graduated from Teachers College – Columbia University with a MA in Mathematics Education as a Math for America fellow. This year she is teaching 7th grade Math and is having an exciting time with the students. Her Math classes are not only geared towards preparing students for the standardized test but also focus on deep thinking and understanding through questions, discussions and problem solving. Her students will not only leave with knowledge of the subject area but also with skills that will last a lifetime.
